The circulatory system is responsible for getting materials such as nutrients, oxygen, and water through out your entire body. It also takes away waste that your body creates such as carbon dioxide. The circulatory system is like a major highway that goes through out your entire body, and connects all of your body's cells together.
There are three main parts to the circulatory system; the heart, the blood, and the blood vessels. The heart's job is to pump the blood through out your body, and keep the blood moving. The job of blood is to carry nutrients, water, and oxygen through the body, as well as waste products the your body creates. The blood takes these things directly from the cells in your body. Blood vessels allow the blood to travel through the body and to parts of the body that need blood. All three of these things combine to make up the parts of the circulatory system. |
