ScorpionsScorpions, Scorpiones, are a part of the Arachnida class. They have eight legs and a venomous stinger on the end of their tail. Scorpions have an open circulatory system, they also don't have hemoglobin, they have hemocyanin. The heart pumps blood through the body and small arteries help get the blood back to the heart. Blood also goes through the cells of the scorpion to get back to the heart.

ShrimpShrimp, Caridea, are a part of the Crustacean class. They have 8 legs and are a major part of the food chain, being the main pray of whales and fish. Shrimp have an open circulatory system, and instead of hemoglobin like humans they have hemolymph. The heart pumps the blood through the body and the blood returns back to the heart directly through the tissue.

AntsAnts, Formicidae, are a part of the Formicidae class. Ants have six legs and only some ants have wings. Ants have open circulatory systems, they have hemolymph, and it occupies cavities and appendages in the body. Ants have one closed organ called the dorsal vessel. It extends from the head to the thorax. The dorsal vessel is a continuous tube that has two regions. It has a heart/pumping organ, that is for the abdomen and the aorta. Hemolymph is pumped through the body around the dorsal vessel, and passes through a series of valved chambers. The accessory pumps in the ant pump the hemolymph to appendages, before it goes back to the abdomen.
